Fresh from a break up, graphic designer Claire (36), impulsively moves out the city to a gentrifying coastal town and into a surprisingly affordable apartment in a converted Victorian hospital. When the pandemic lockdown hits soon after, she becomes an unemployed freelancer and de facto Caretaker of the building and its colourful residents both living & dead. Claire has to keep the peace while trying to keep her sanity.
In each TV episode Claire is forced to co-exist with different neighbours and spirits under the isolation, pressure and claustrophobia of the pandemic. Claire must embrace the rich tapestry of life and death as her people and spirit experiences increase. This concept is loosely inspired by my own pandemic lockdown experience.

Cocker spaniel, Pal (7), is a bouncy Mama’s boy whose sedate life is disrupted when a hurricane destroys his doggy daycare. Pal and a few other dogs survive and terrified they run into a nature reservation looking for shelter and safety. When the storm breaks they agree to work as a pack until each find their ‘real’ pack. This proves tricky with their different personalities and skillsets but heroically kind Pal helps them stick together, finding help or harm from the wild animals & humans they meet along the way home.
I use my natural affinity with dogs along with all I’ve learned about dogs through my Dog Tarot readings to create memorable characters and scenarios for this canine adventure for anyone who loves dogs. This film’s tone is Lady and the Tramp (1955) meets The Secret Life of Pets (2016).

Charlie (45), is a bell-hop at an upscale European hotel in NYC who befriends, Lavinia (75), a wealthy solo traveller on her way to join a cruise on the River Nile in Egypt. When Lavinia falls victim to a storefront psychic’s deadly con, an upset Charlie is compelled to find the truth but human lie detector Charlie has mets her match in this clairvoyant criminal. Charlie makes a move no one could see coming with the assistance of the FBI Art Crime team to catch them.
I wanted to write a spec script for Poker Face as I’m a fan of the show and relate to its protagonist Charlie Cale (S1 & S2). Like Charlie I didn’t understand my gift and didn’t particularly welcome it but use it ethically.

In L.A.’s Angelino Heights, the lonely ghost of a Victorian house, Connie (22) dares to join its twentysomething tenants Halloween party. Her efforts are rewarded when she meets a soulful, possessed Pumpkin but their friendship has a limited lifespan.
I was inspired to write this loosely based on my experience of a ghost in the Victorian house I shared with friends in my twenties. I also use my personal experience of having a visual difference for the character of Jimmy the Halloween pumpkin. This film is Casper (1995) meets Labyrinth (1989).

Novice Tarot Reader, Alice (35) is unknowingly booked for a dog event and widely advertised as a ‘Dog Tarot Reader’. Unable to get out of it, she reluctantly tests and reads for the dog owners and their dogs and is stunned to discover she has an ability to communicate dogs personality, needs, issues and the relationship dynamics of their ‘pack’. Alice is doggedly pursued by dog lovers into becoming a world-renowned dog psychic-psychologist improving the lives of millions of dogs and their owners while finding romance for herself in the owner of her greatest challenge.
I use my real life experience unexpectedly creating my Dog Tarot readings including anecdotes from my readings with dog owners & their dogs to create a unique feature, jumping up and down with memorable characters creating howlingly profound scenarios. It’s Turner & Hooch (1989) meets Best In Show (2000).

Nicky’s (34) first Christmas without her Dad is bad enough but her little brother’s Christmas Day engagement officially makes her the last single person in her family. Nicky decides to harass the universe into helping her meet the husband she’s been trying to manifest since she was a little girl by following the messages and dares given by an assortment of psychics across the city as she attempts to meet cute her future husband by New Year’s Day.
A story set during that weird Betwixtmas period (the days between Christmas & New Year) that has the romantic fantasy of Practical Magic (1998) with the romcom build up of Dash & Lily (2020).

Travel content creator, Regan (25) and her sensitive boyfriend Joe (27) make a deal to make content promoting a new Airbnb listing, an abandoned mansion, in exchange for a stay for a romantic weekend. Odd happenings escalate into a terrifying haunting. Tough cookie Regan has a false sense of security tiktoking what’s happening. She’s excited by her footage and new followers. When the haunting starts to feel more personal she begins to suspect Joe is behind it but she learns the ghost they joke nickname ‘McGuffin’ is trying to scare them out of the house to save them from the clutches of the owner/ her troll.
I use some of my own spirit experiences with hauntings from documented cases to tell an authentic feeling ghost story. Idea was inspired a nightmare I had after listening to some paranormal podcast cold case episodes.
NO I’M THE PRETTIEST Child’s Self Discovery Comedy Drama. 15min Short Film Beat sheet and outline.
Home-schooled, Eve (7), was always told by her family and their friends that she’s the ‘most beautiful girl in the world’, learns that other kids see her as disfigured when she has to attend a state school following her parents split. Eve responds to her crisis in confidence by wildly reinventing herself only to be bullied and get into trouble for telling stories. It’s when Eve wins a chocolate cornflakes cake competition by breaking the rules that she starts to build real confidence.
Loosely based on my childhood and school experience having a facial visual difference, a rare birthmark disfiguring my lower lip and chin that developed shortly after birth.
